Now when I look back at my life, I see times when it reminded me of walking in a blizzard, blinded and alone. In the blizzard I followed tracks made by things that too had walked through there, and if had I not followed them here I would have fallen and died alone. Tracks gave hope that there is something at the end. A corpse, or a place to call home.
I found places of shelter, shrines to things forgotten. I was thankful for the little breaks; where I could see what others had seen before, and I learned from them. I learned I was alone like them, and they all had these same thoughts: "Where am I? I wish something would come, I wish would not be here. Either I'll survive or I'll never be found." I saw that many were lost before they had even begun.
As I followed the tracks, I realized I too made the path easier for others that are going through there. I also saw that as much as the tracks gave some image of hope that I could believe in, the real thing that was driving me forward was the wind and the cold. And they were the things that changed me the most.
I wish you all the strength in following the tracks in your life, wherever they may be.
